I would like to make these cookies, but I have a couple of questions. 1) are the nuts finely chopped? 2) is the dough supposed to be rolled into a log or is it shaped into a different form? <br /><br />My own grandmother had a recipe for an icebox cookie and it was one of my very favorite cookies when I was growing up. It was a simple butter cookie with pecans. This recipe that you have posted sounds so delicious and unusual.
