Wordless Wednesday (Almost) -- Tickle Belly Hill at Garfield Park, Indianapolis

In my series of places for Wordless Wednesday, Almost, I would be remiss if I didn’t include Garfield Park.  This beautiful place holds countless memories for our family, from picnics to swimming lessons to trips over Tickle Belly Hill.    If we were passing through the park, located just a block from Grandma Weber’s house and near the homes of all of us growing up on the south side of Indianapolis, Dad would take a route that included going over this concrete bridge.   As we approached he would speed up the car so that the ride over the hill gave us that tickling in our stomachs.  As a kid I naively thought we were unique in this little tradition.  Of course, I’ve learned since then that there was a multitude of people who enjoyed riding swiftly over Tickle Belly Hill.  What are your special memories?
